Bruremarsj (Wedding March) NOK 800,- Grade 4
This is the original arrangement of the composition Bruremarsj. This is perhaps Førde’s best know and most played composition. This was used as the official wedding march on the occasion of the wedding of Princess Märtha Louise and Ari Behn in Trondheim in 2002.

Composition based on the spontaneous expression of Norwegian folk music. The melodic and harmonic solutions create a lyrical and sensitive feel. “Domen” is both written about and intended for Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, with its particular timbre and feeling of space as a backdrop.

Seterslått was composed for the Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 1994. The main theme is inspired by the characteristic tones of the Hardanger fiddle. A challenging base line is coupled with an intense rhythm. The melody line is fresh and requires a good deal of energy. Drum solo possible.

Ndihamba nawe is an african weddingsong and a hit in South Africa. The title means something like «I will go with you». The arrangement needs a good deal of rhytmic energy and requires a trumpet soloplayer or a tenor sax.

Mbabane is written as a commission for Brass Band Aid, in England. The title Mbabane is the name of the capitol of Swaziland in Africa and is written as a choral with a groove ispired of african rhythms. The piece requires a soloist and the solo part opens up for improvisation.
Kronprinsparets bryllupsmarsj (Wedding March for the Crown Prince and Crown Princess) NOK 700,- Grade 4
Commission for Norges Musikkorpsforbund. Written as a gift for the wedding of the Crown Prince and Princess in 2001. The piece has the tonal dialect of Norwegian folk music, joined to a rap-like centre section that demands rhythmic energy.

Gaven was written as a commission for Hegra Hornmusikk and dedicated to baritone player Geir Ulseth. Tranquil and evocative melody line over a challenging rhythm backing. The piece requires a baritone or tenor sax soloist.

Hornarven was written as a commission for the Norwegian Horn Club. The composition requires a waldhorn or althorn soloist. The piece has inherited the tonal language of Norwegian folk music and the characteristic nature tones of the original buckhorn.

A march-like composition written as a commission for Nordfjordeid Skolekorps. The piece has a flexi arrangement. Melodically the composition has evident roots in Norwegian folk music. The basic rhythm from percussion and bass shapes the progression of the tune.
